How do I create an account? account

It is very quick and simple. Go to www.keenobby.com and click Sign Up at the top of the homepage. You will be directed to a quick form to sign up with your email address. Creating a Keenobby account is free, whether you are looking for a service or offering a service.

I forgot my password, what can I do? accountpassword

No worries! If you forgot your password, you just need to do the following:

  1. Click Log In at the top of the homepage
  2. Click Forgot your password?
  3. Type in your email address and we’ll send you a new password
How do I change my password accountpassword

To change your password, click on your profile and on the very first page, click on the “Change my password” button. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions.

How do I join an experience? booking

To join an experience, you must Sign Up or Log In to your Keenobby account. When browsing through the list of experiences, select the session you want to join or request a session for alternative dates.

On the listing page if sessions are scheduled:

  1. Click Join Now
  2. Select the Session you want to attend 
  3. Select the Number of participants
  4. Proceed to Payment gateway

On the listing page if sessions are NOT scheduled:

  1. Click On Demand
  2. Fill in the Request A Session form
  3. Get notified if session request is accepted
  4. Proceed to Payment gateway
What are service fees? paymentrules

We charge participants a minimal service fee (5%) to cover the cost of processing payments. The exact amount of the service fee is displayed before you proceed to payment. It is also included in the email confirmation that you receive upon purchase.

Can I cancel a purchase? bookingcancellation

To cancel your purchase, please contact us at contact@keenobby.com. If you cancel your reservation, you will be refunded according to Keenobby’s cancellation policy:

  • If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the experience or service, you will be totally refunded net any commission and fees paid by Keenobby;
  • if you cancel between 48 and 24 hours prior to the experience, you will be charged 50% of the experience or service price, including Keenobby’s service fee;
  • if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to the experience, you will be charged 100% of the experience or service price.
What payment method does Keenobby use? bookingpayment

We use PayPal as our secure payment gateway.

Where can I find the purchase confirmation? booking

After each booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your purchase, the exact address of the experience and contact information of the Expertainer. This email will go to the email address associated with your Keenobby account.

Are there any specific requirements to request a service or join an experience? rules

You must comply with local laws and regulations to join an experience or request a service. More specific details would be listed on experience or service description page, such as equipment, conditions, lead time, gear, skill level, etc.

Are children allowed to join an experience? children

Children under 18 years of age may be entitled to join an experience only with the presence of their parent or guardian.

How are Expertainers vetted? quality

Trust and Quality are very important to us. This is why our team interviews each new expertainer. We give particular attention to the expertainers’ talent, passion, as well as professional and interpersonal skills. We also review all expertainer profiles and listings before they are published on the site.

How can I contact my Expertainer? contact

After completing a purchase (for a service or an experience), you will receive an email confirmation with the contact information of your Expertainer. Please do not hesitate to email your Expertainer and ask any question.

Upon request of a service or an experience session, you can post a comment and your email will appear on the notification each selected expertainer receive. They will then be able to get in touch with you.

I am very interested in an experience but there is no session scheduled. What can I do? bookingexperience

On the page of the experience, click On Demand. Fill out a quick form to tell us your preferences. We will contact the Expertainer and do our best to find a suitable date and time.

The date and time of upcoming sessions do not work for me. How can I request another session? bookingexperience

When you are on the page of the experience:

  1. Click Join Now
  2. Under Sessions, click Tell us your preferred schedule
  3. Select your preferences
  4. Click Keep me posted

We will get back to you shortly with alternative sessions for your consideration.

What does Expertainer mean? entertainerexpertexpertainer

Think “Expert + Entertainer”… Keenobby is all about people, talent and fun. There is no better title to honor the people who offer their talent through fun learning experiences or creative services.

Who can be an Expertainer? rules

Anyone with talent, passion and creativity can be an Expertainer.  Whether you are a handcrafter, artist, dancer, shaman, actor, foodie, DJ, caterer, partier, or have an inspiring talent and passion to share, you are welcome to join our pool of Expertainers.

How can I become an Expertainer? account

It’s easy!  Just sign up on Keenobby and create your profile as Expertainer. In your dashboard, you will be guided through simple steps to complete.

Is there any sort of membership fee to sign up as Expertainer? paymentrules

Absolutely not! It’s entirely free. You can activate and deactivate your listings and Expertainer account any time.

How can I create a listing? experiencelisting

Listings can be created from your Expertainer dashboard. When creating your listing, you are requested to describe the content of the experience and specify the maximum number of participants, price per person, venue, etc. Please make sure to use relevant pictures in high resolution to illustrate your listing.  All listings are carefully reviewed before going live. Our team will contact you if we have any questions or require any further information.

How can I schedule my sessions? schedulingsessions

As soon as our team has approved your listing, you can then start to schedule your first sessions by creating listings on your dashboard. Do not hesitate to schedule more than one session as it gives more options to people interested to meet you and attend your experiences.

Who sets the date, time and duration of my sessions? sessions

That’s you! With Keenobby, you can exercise your talent and hone your skills at your own pace and availability. Flexibility is very important to us!

Where should I host my experiences? Do you provide a venue? venue

You are free to host your experiences in any suitable venue of your choice, including your home or professional studio as well as rental spaces and outdoors. We do not have our own venue for experiences, but we do know various venue providers. Let us know what you are looking for and we will be happy to suggest a few options.

How do I get in touch with my clients? contact

You will receive the contact information of the buyer(s) upon purchase. Make sure to send them all relevant information about transportation, access to the venue, necessary gear, etc. The more communication, the better to help them prepare too!

Can I cancel listings and sessions? rulessessions

To avoid last minute cancellations and provide every participant enough advance notice, we request that you cancel the session no later than 36 hours prior to the start time of that session.

How much shall I charge for my services? paymentprice

Up to you! The price of your service should be profitable for you, yet reasonable and affordable to most people. To set the right price for everyone, do not forget to calculate possible costs you might have to bear, such as equipment, materials, food, beverage, etc

How much does Keenobby retains? feespaymentprice

Keenobby takes a 15% Expertainer fee on each purchase. This small fee helps us maintain an active community and provide useful tools to our members.

How do I get paid and when? payment

Keenobby uses PayPal as our payout method. You need to have an existing PayPal account and provide relevant information in your Keenobby dashboard. Payouts are deposited to your PayPal account within ten days after the date of your session. Find out more about PayPal, including how to create an account, at PayPal.com.

Where do the customers come from? acquisition

Sometimes customers come to Keenobby because they heard about us through a friend. Other times they find us when they’re searching online for a particular service or experience (for example, searching for “Photographers in Paris” or “Cooking Class in New York” ), or through one of our ads, or blog articles. No matter how customers find Keenobby, they’re all looking for help with a project.
