Hello fellow weavers! If you’ve already taken an introduction or basic class in weaving and are looking for the next steps to create beautiful, professional looking weavings, to incorporate different materials into your weavings – and to learn a little about the design process – this class is for you! In this class you will learn how to incorporate beautiful, thick roving fibers into your piece; to fine-tune your shape making skills, how to add pom poms and tassels to your work, incorporate fabrics and natural materials and create a more professional finish for your pieces so they are ready to hang (and even sell!) My love for weaving is a little infectious – and this class will be a 3 hour weaving love-fest with other makers who are looking to share their love for the craft too. Please note: For this class, you will have to bring your own frame or lap loom. Frame looms are available for purchase for $50. Registration cost includes a “The Loome” tool to help you make tassels and pom-poms, beautiful lush wool roving fibers, fabric fibers, a yarn pack, scissors, a copper dowel rod and a glass of wine. (Materials value $75)

Fiber is my passion. Each night after the little ones go to sleep, I sit down and put my heart to work.

Each piece I make is unique and created lovingly by hand using a mix of vintage fibers (collected from my grandmother or at charity shops) and new natural fibers.
