After post secondary studies in Textile Design I developed and ran my own boutique fashion line, worked as an in-house designer in smaller studios and eventually with larger retail organizations in product development and buying. In 2014, following the birth of my son, I decided to take a leap into the freelance art world. After many years of working in corporate design departments I felt pulled back to my indie design roots. I re-discovered my love of painting, drawing & mark-making and began a daily art practice, creating patterns and illustrations. My favourite tools are inks, watercolours & gouache. Today I regularly work on commissioned projects for home decor and fashion clients and sell designs through a textile studio in the US. My work is influenced by my travels and fascination with different cultures. I also find inspiration in my love of food, fashion, and quirky vintage design.
